Empowering Indigenous Communities Through Media Collaboration

The Network works with indigenous communities to promote their aspirations and effectively report their grievances in the media.

Advocating Indigenous Coverage in the Media

The Network embarks on advocacy visits to media institutions and media unions to speak on indigenous issues and the need for effective media attention.

The Network Launches Platform to Monitor Media Coverage of Indigenous Issues

The Network has a social media platform where issues of media coverage of Indigenous Issues are reviewed and addressed.

Advancing Indigenous Media Coverage: Monthly Network Forums

The Network organises monthly meetings of members in Lagos and Abuja to overview and promote effective coverage of Indigenous Issues in Nigeria and in West Africa.

Active Engagement in UN and COP Indigenous Platforms

The Network is also very active in international indigenous platforms like the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues and the various summits on climate change and indigenous issues including but not limited to Conference of Parties, (COP). Members usually take part in some of the conferences held within or outside Nigeria
