The Network in the past few years...
With the support of CHRICED, the Network organised a training programme for journalists on indigenous issues in Abuja

 

The Network held series of meetings and consultations with Original Inhabitants in Abuja in the years 2023 and 2024 to help promote their demands through the media space. The Network held a conference on ‘Reporting Oil and Gas: Focusing in Indigenous Peoples.’

Network of Journalists on Indigenous Issues, (NETJII) organized a media visitation to 23 indigenous communities in the Niger-Delta for on the sport assessment of their challenges. The findings were widely reported in the media.

The Network of Journalists On Indigenous Issues (NETJII) also embarked on a tour of the Niger Delta in 2023 for environmental assessment.

The Network in collaboration with Clean Energy Foundation, (CEF) recently visited eight states in the Niger Delta in early 2025 for a research on environmental impact of oil and gas pollution in Niger Delta indigenous communities.
